Nanny Rocks!!!

Seth's grandma, Nanny, is awesome! She and Seth's mom (who is also awesome) stayed with us Wednesday night through today. Before they left today Nanny went for a ride on Seth's motorcycle!!!! How cool!

Talk about a let down! I was so excited! I even tried to give it back to the person I thought was at that pump before me before I realized it was fake(they had gone through the carwash, so I waited for them and asked which pump they were at, they weren't at mine though).

Oh well....better luck next time.....

Gone Fishin!

Ever since fishing with our life group a while ago, S and I have been on a fishing-spree. This weeked while visitng S's mom in Calabash, we drove down to the Bass Pro Shop and bought some fishin polls and gear. In his mom's neighborhood are several large ponds that, as we found out, are pretty well stocked! Check out this pics below. We were pullin fish out left and right! It was great!








Those were all different fish, no fish was photographed twice! Can you believe it?? And we didn't get a picture of a few that we caught! There were even two fish that we each caught that were so big we didn't get a picture b/c they snapped the fishing line as we were trying to haul them out! Ginormous!

Something our group has not done together before was fishing, until now. This weekend we each tried our hand at fishing, and I must say we were pretty successful! Check it out:

For Sale!!

Sometimes you have to take a step backwards in order to get ahead in life, and that is exactly what we are doing.

S and I are selling our cars and getting "new" cars. By "new" I mean very cheap, daily drivers (hopefully less than $5K for both) so that we can use the money we were previously spending on car payments to help pay off some debt.

This may sound crazy, but I am VERY excited!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my car, a lot. But I love being debt free even more, and I would rather pinch pennies for a while to get our finances right than be driving a nice car with a fat loan and having other outstanding debt.

The Fray!

Last night we went to see The Fray in concert with our life group and it was so much fun! It was at the Durham Performing Arts Center, which I've never been to before, and what a beautiful place!

The opening band was called The Wheel and they were good...




Here we are having fun....




Then The Fray came on.... (can you hear us screaming??)




It was so much fun! As we waited for the traffic to die down we got a pic of the stage (to show how big it truly was) and all of us together (thanks to the staff lady who took it!).



Amy and her sister Megan were there too, unfortunately I didn't get a pic to prove it :( but they got us into the Presidents Club, which was super cool! Thanks guys!
